Launched March 23 2012,  the NEWCANADIANMUSIC website is all about Canadian music and Canadian acts. The website is updated on Fridays to include audio streams and samples, information about and links to online vendors that are selling new releases by Canadian acts in digital and CD formats from the past week.

The line-up of people behind NCM has a long-standing history in the Canadian music industry and the result is a knowledgeable team curating a set of data that is presented in a user-friendly format. NCM's goal is simple: To provide an unparalleled resource about Canadian music for fans, musicians, broadcasters, talent buyers and everyone in between.

Our database at launch includes close to 35,000 Canadian acts. For practical purposes we activate Artist Pages as new releases or for when reissues become available. Artist pages include bios and audio streams, affiliations and social networking links and can also include selected music videos and additional artwork.

We welcome suggestions and feedback and count on our readers, Canadian musicians and record labels to provide NCM with updates about upcoming releases and tour dates. The data we provide is aggregated using a wide number of sources, and the site will continue to add features designed to enhance the viewer's experience and create more opportunity for musical discovery. One feature already included with the weekly NCM updates is the NCM Radio player that offers a selective guide to noteworthy tracks we have discovered during the weekly schedule of NEWCANADIANMUSIC releases.
