George Meanwell

n the late 1970's, George Meanwell was guitarist and vocalist with the Toronto acoustic folk trio Short Turn which performed throughout the then extensive 416 area code, garnering invitations from Morningside, 90 Minutes Live, and George Hamilton IV.

In October 2012, with the help of Anna Atkinson (violin, accordion, voice), Eric St-Laurent (guitar), Michael McClennan (bass), Graham Hargrove (toy pianos), and Ian Harper (clarinet), he spent two evenings recording new material arranged for acoustic instruments and performed live at Factory 163 in Stratford. Andy Allen and Mike Walsh supervised audio and video, and the resulting CD/DVD will be available February 26, 2013.
