L.A. Foster

Lesley Ann Foster began her solo project L.A. FOSTER after a near decade DJing and providing vocal support in Montreal bands (Karneef, Mozart's Sister). The earliest incarnations of the project saw collaborations with Marc St Louis (Athensz, Valleys) and Beaver Sheppard (Country, John Shape) leading to the latest team-up with producer Steve Ramsay of Young Galaxy.

Growing up in Edmonton Foster has spent the past ten years living in Buenos Aires and Montreal. Playing with these geographical contrasts, Foster's premiere release is a mix of emotion ranging from southern heat to gritty cold-weather-break-ups. Blending cumbia, reggaeton, and house; her mix of samples, melodic hooks and cutting vocals provides the perfect setting for a melancholic dance party.
