250 - Single

Toronto artpop project For Esmé recently released a music video for “250”, the second single off their self-titled record, released last summer. The video was shot on a shoestring budget ($0!), and features primary songwriter Martha Meredith in slow motion against a forest backdrop, giving the already ethereal track a certain gravitas  – pretty impressive that it was captured solely on an iPhone. We’d like to think that J.D. Salinger, the cantankerous writer that penned the short story after which the band is named, might appreciate the eerie imagery and choral accompaniments of “250”.

Meredith is hard at work at a sophomore follow-up, with James Bunton (Ohbijou, Light Fires) stepping into the role as producer once again.
