A Ghost History

Alt-trio Kestrels is releasing A Ghost History on June 5, the group’s first record through the respected indie label Sonic Unyon. The new LP sees the band veering even deeper into the shoegaze pop identity they forged on 2009’s Primary Colours. Listen for a guest guitar solo on the noisy “Dumb Angel” from Tim Wheeler (of “Ash” fame), a personal hero of Kestrels’ singer/guitarist Chad Peck.

All physical copies of the album are a split label release with Noyes Records and are offered in a variety of formats, including a limited pressing of white vinyl. Watch the video for The Past Rests and see them live – the band is currently on the Eastern leg of their tour.
