Aquarelles (Watercolours)

In 2008, Valerie Milot became the first harpist to win the prestigious Prix d’Europe, a century-old Canadian study grant funded by the Government of Quebec. Her reputation as both a soloist and a chamber musician has won her multiple awards, gushing reviews, and distinction as a Révélation Radio-Canada Musique in 2009. On Aquarelles (Watercolours), her fifth record under the Analekta label, Milot paints gorgeous interpretations of Satie, Debussy, Smetana, Renié, and others with pristine harp arrangements that illustrate her role as an interpreter in the pantheon of impressionist composers.
