Now well-established as one of Canada's best and most popular jazz/pop singers, Jill Barber found time amidst new motherhood to record her sixth album, Fool's Gold. It comes out on June 17, preceded by brand new single "Broken For Good". Both were co-produced by long-time collaborators (and members of her band), Les Cooper and Drew Jurecka. "We speak the same musical short-hand", Barber explains. The Motown-influenced tune is breezy and catchy, despite its sad lyrics. The charming chanteuse is now on an Ontario tour, followed by summer jazz and folk festivals in Vancouver, Ottawa, Québec City and Calgary.
