Candy Mountain - Single
Don't be surprised if 2015 is a breakthrough year for hard-hitting T.O. rockers Dilly Dally. They're now signed to prestigious American indie imprint Fat Possum (as well as cool Canadian label Buzz Records), and their earlier single "Next Gold" grabbed raves in Pitchfork and NME. New single "Candy Mountain" is a powerful and equally impressive cut. We detect a Hole and Pixies influence on their sound, and production by the ace team of Leon Taheny (Owen Pallett, Austra) and Josh Korody (Fucked Up, Beliefs) captures their energy. The band is headed by Katie Monks (sister of Tokyo Police Club's Dave Monks) and Liz Ball, and are clearly an outfit to be reckoned with. We await an upcoming full-length with real anticipation. Dilly Dally play Long Winter at Toronto's Great Hall on Jan. 9.
