Colourless - Single
Last year, after a decade on hiatus, Kingston ON rockers Headstones knocked out a killer full-length, Love + Fury. It was an album that few anticipated would ever happen, and was made possible through PledgeMusic funding (demand was so high that the goal was met within 24 hours). The band has turned to fans once again to fund One In the Chamber Music, a primarily acoustic record of revisited hits and deep cuts, along with a couple new tunes. While that disc won’t be out until November 24, we’ve gotten a first taste with new single “Colourless”. The rocking original finds the guys in Zeppelin III territory, wielding mandolins over Marshall stacks, yet it fits in well right next to their more searing tracks. We personally can’t wait to hear the same treatment applied to their ’97 knockout "Smile and Wave".
Hugh Dillon and co. are currently on tour promoting the new album. Remaining dates include Edmonton Oct 31 at Shaw Conference Centre, Regina Nov 1 at Evraz Place, Saskatoon Nov 3 at O’Brians Event Centre, Winnipeg Nov 4-5 at Pyramid Cabaret. Full details on their website.
