Ghosts - Single
A lot of eyes were on Big Wreck’s reunion in 2012 – after more than a decade apart, Ian Thornley and co. tore it up on a new killer record, Albatross. It nabbed a CASBY award for “Favourite New Album” and received a Juno nomination, but no one was sure that the once-disbanded act was here to stay. Our collective worries can be assuaged, as the band just unveiled new single “Ghosts”. It’s an eerie and rock-solid offering, just a bit off-center from their signature stargazing bluesy hard rock tone. Expect it to receive heavy radio play, and rightfully so. An upcoming album of the same name is due June 10 through Anthem/Warner, and it's produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Deftones) and Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, The Tea Party), the same team that brought the thunder on Albatross. Looks like the fan fave band is going to stick it out for good.
