Elaquent is a Guelph-based beatmeister who attracted attention with his 2012 EP Parallel, and he's notching rave reviews for new collection Green Apples And Oranges. These instrumental tracks blur the lines between hiphop, electronica and dance. The gently insinuating keyboard sounds mesh well with the electronic drums. A mellow mood pervades, making this a perfect chill-out disc after a night of clubbing. The limited edition vinyl LP version features the exclusive bonus track "Glass Half Full".
