Last July, Toronto indie rockers HIGHS put out an eponymous debut EP that grabbed plenty of attention. Clearly feeling it still has unrealised potential, the band is reissuing it, with the addition of a strong new track, "Mango". The sunny tropicalia vibe of the song might be best suited to summer, but it'll help chase those here comes winter blues. We detect something of a Vampire Weekend feel to it, and other cuts are equally sweet and melodic, with some featuring Afrobeat tinges. HIGHS began as a solo DIY project for guitarist Doug Haynes in 2012, but they've quickly blossomed into a cohesive full band.

HIGHS are playing six NYC-area gigs this week, with a cross-Canada tour running from Nov. 4 to Nov. 29 (mostly with Twin Forks and Northcote). For dates, go to their website
