I'd Watch the Day Til It Died

From the gritty furnace of Saint John, NB, comes Little You, Little Me, a band whose energetic and virile sound has elicited references to regional peers Thrush Hermit and Eric's Trip. They actually work from a bigger sonic template than that, throwing in hardcore, punk and stoner rock stylings into the mix with free-spirited abandon. Vocalist/guitarist Corey Bonnevie and bassist/vocalist Geoff Smith write separately, adding to the variety. LYLM turned ears with 2014 debut full-length  What Have You Been Doing With Yer Time?, and the equally elongatedly entitled I'd Watch The Day Til It Died ups the ante. There is substance amidst the sonic fury here, as on the political comment of "Greed". The album was recorded in the Fundy Coast studio space run by Smith and Bonnevie. There's a vinyl version coming soon too.

Listening to this sure whets the appetite to catch LYLM live. They play Gus's Pub in Halifax on Dec. 11 and Thunder & Lightning in Sackville on Dec. 12.
