In Flames

After years spent honing her craft with the Blue Violets, Kandle’s forging her own path on her debut full-length In Flames. The young songstress has a fresh spin on bluesy rock (or rockin’ blues, take your pick), and spends most of the record lamenting doomed relationships, dark winters, and unfortunate circumstance. She claims to not have sold her soul to the devil for these talents, but with those powerfully haunting melodies, her declarations seem suspect. Perhaps she gleaned songwriting expertise from her father, Neil Osborne (of 54-40), who produced the record along with Sam Goldberg Jr. (Broken Social Scene).

Kandle brings her compelling and stormy-bleak stylings to the Drake Hotel in Toronto on March 11 and Auberge Petite-Nation in St-Andre-Avellin QC on May 2.
