Last September, platinum-selling young vocal sensation Nikki Yanofsky declared she was trying "Something New", via the single of that name. Her prodigious pipes are now exploring r 'n b and pop and as well as jazz terrain, with the singer calling her much-anticipated new record Little Secret “a mix of Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Ray Charles, and Quincy – mixed with me." Having Quincy Jones' name attached (he is her co-manager) sure doesn't harm its chances, and we predict it's destined for hit status. Sure to attract attention is her cover of Doors classic "People are Strange", and we love the way "Necessary Evil" sounds both classic and modern. Yanofsky is already making a splash in Europe, and she'll tour there in July.
