Vancouver rockers Chains of Love deliver a charming melange of garage rock and '60s girl band pop (a la the Ronettes), led by the gutsy voice of Nathalia Pizarro. They turned heads with 2012 debut album Strange Grey Days, and last year's Misery Makers Vol. 1 EP confirmed their talent. Vol. 2 is now here, and is equally convincing. Adding cool authenticity to the sound is the co-production work of the legendary Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, The Raveonettes, The Go-Gos). The title is misleading though, as the album is more likely to elicit a smile than a frown.
