Princess Century is the moniker chosen by Maya Postepski for her solo project. She has made a mark as member of the critically acclaimed Austra and TRST, and she now shows off her compositional chops on the second Princess Century album, Progress. The synth-driven instrumental disc draws upon disco (as on "Sunscream") and film music influences, with Giorgio Moroder's soundtrack to Midnight Express cited as one reference point. Of note: Postepski has composed film scores, including Stephen Dunn's Closet Monster, a collaboration with Todor Kobakov. She recently signed a publishing deal with Arts & Crafts Publishing, and we expect her career to progress rapidly.
On Oct. 24 Princess Century plays Amsterdam's famed Paradiso club, and she has live and DJ gigs in Belgium after that.
