Calgary garage rockers Port Juvee (formerly Bleachers) are on a roll. They're finalists in the first ever Alberta edition of The PEAK Performance Project, are previous winners of X92.9FM Calgary’s Xposure contest, and are now making a splash with new (second) EP Revenge. They have a snappy and melodic sound that's neatly captured by big-name producer Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Weezer). The Strokes influence on their sound (as on first single "All That's Fine") is undeniable, but the songwriting takes them beyond mimicry. They say success is the best revenge. This Revenge is indeed a success. The band recently had gigs in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and NYC (at CMJ). More dates please!
