Rich In Love

You could term Colin Linden a roots music renaissance man. He's achieved real prominence in Canada as one-third of the Juno-winning Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, while he is in great demand in Nashville as a producer (over 100 albums to his credit) and sideman guitarist to the stars (including Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss). He has an ongoing strong musical role in the hit TV series Nashville, and somehow finds time to release solo abums too. His latest, Rich In Love, sees him reunited with the Stony Plain label (his first label home), and it is another blues-rooted treat. Linden is backed by his ace rhythm section of John Dymond and Gary Craig (also in BARK), while special guests include blues harmonica great Charlie Musselwhite, Reese Wynans and Amy Helm. Linden wrote all the diverse set of songs, with co-writers including Dymond, Janice Powers, and Grammy Award winners Gary Nicholson and Tom Hambridge. Linden's prowess as a player has never been in doubt and he has evolved into an equally convincing vocalist and songwriter. We hope he can find time in his packed sked for some gigging up here.
