Say It - Single
With both The Weeknd and Drake having immensely successful years thus far (is anyone sick of “Hotline Bling” dancing memes yet?), it was only a matter of time before some new R&B superstar emerged from Toronto. Rapper/singer/songwriter/producer/fashion designer Tory Lanez has a major shot at hitting it big, and soon. He claims that he’s been a ghost writer on tracks for Akon, Travi$ Scott, Meek Mill, and T.I., was recently signed to Interscope, and is keeping the momentum going with late summer single “Say It”. For those not already familiar, it samples the 1999 Brownstone hit "If You Love Me", and simply put – is a banger. It’s racked up near 7.5 mil views on YouTube, 2.3 mil streams for a soundcloud sample (why are this many people streaming half a song?), and Ed Sheeran even offered up a cover. Look for “Say It” to appear on a major label debut due in early 2016. In the interim, get caught up with his free Cruel Intentions EP released earlier this year.
