Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Salvatore Costa, Smashing Satellites are a new alt-pop band that has quickly made a mark. Their first official single, “Waterfall,” hit the top 50 on the U.S. Mediabase alternative chart and top 40 in Canada (it has notched 114k YouTube views), and other focus tracks "Hounds" and the catchy "What It's All About" are also grabbing attention. The songs were shaped in L.A. with Costa working with producer/songwriters Bob Marlette (Alice Cooper, Tracy Chapman) and Dave Bassett (Fitz and the Tantrums, Serena Ryder’s “”Little Bit of Red”), and the production quality on new debut full-length SonicAluzion is high. Formerly with My Darkest Days, Costa comes from a rock background, but he explains that, with SS, he wanted to lead "a quirky alternative pop act with a throwback to the 70s and 80s". An act to watch.
