Stillbirth - Single

When vocalist Alice Glass announced her split from Crystal Castles, she declared that a solo project was in the works, while the band’s other founding member, Ethan Kath, promised he would carry on the CC moniker alone (or at least with other vocalists in tow). We’ve already heard a couple tracks from the latter and now Glass is following up with her first solo offering, new track “Stillborn”. The biting electro, almost-industrial tune was co-written and produced by Jupiter Keyes (Health) and as indicated by a statement, is an especially personal piece on surviving abusive relationships. “Stillborn” is released without the aid of a label, and all proceeds of the track’s digital sales will benefit organizations that help survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and incest. Donations can also be made through RAINN or on her website.

Also revealed in Glass’s statement is the news of more solo music to come. In her words - “There is a sister song to ‘Stillbirth’ that I hope to release soon, she is a lullaby and she can’t wait to meet you”. Follow her on Twitter for updates.
