The Grace (Remastered)/My Fate (feat. Dallas Green) - Single
Ten years ago, Dallas Green was still known as the vocalist who wasn’t screaming in Alexisonfire, and his City and Colour project had yet to eclipse his main gig. Then came his guest vocal appearance on “The Grace”, the first major single from Daniel Victor’s Neverending White Lights project (which turned out to be a big hit on rock radio), and it changed the career paths of both artists. To mark the decade that has passed, record label Dine Alone has offered up a remastered version of the hit single, and a previously unreleased track, “My Fate”. Recorded in the same Act I: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies sessions, the tune also features Green’s warm vocal presence and melodic sensibilities, but it never moved past the demo stage. It’s probably for the best that it wasn’t originally included – it doesn’t quite match that album’s flow and would have taken away from the multi-collaborative aspect of the project – but it’s certainly a fine listen in it’s own right.
