Hard-working Juno-nominated singer/songwriter Jeremy Fisher knows how to attract attention. He crossed the continent on bicycle to promote his 2001 debut Back Porch Spirituals, while the presence of Serena Ryder on his earworm-y new single "Uh-Oh" is already helping it grab CBC high rotation. With the support of producers Gus Van Go and Werner F, Fisher has toned down the folk in favour of a melodic pop direction on new Pledge Music-funded album The Lemon Squeeze, his sixth (Ben Folds is one reference point). Nothing sour about the taste of this one. Fisher tours Ontario extensively in May.
