Thrills - EP

Toronto indie folk poppers Trouble & Daughter have really come into their own with third EP Thrills. The dynamic vocal trio of Jenni Pleau, James Mascola, and John Doherty (formerly of illScarlett) have expanded their lineup with the addition of Richie Gregor on drums and Will Marr on bass, and enhanced their already enthused sound with cleaner production and a stronger emphasis on pop accessibility. Not that it was particularly rough before - but the new set tingles with a sunny-harmony driven vibrancy. West coasters Hey Ocean are a good reference point. A band to keep an eye on.
