Dave Hoerl's nickname of "Hurricane" may refer to the fact that he can blow up a storm on his harmonica. He's also a talented blues singer and songwriter. He still fronts two popular blues combos, The Twisters and Hurricane and The Hooligans, but has taken time out to deliver a solo debut, Un-Twisted. He's joined by such skilled comrades as Dave Dykhuizen, Brandon Isaak and saxman Johnny Ferreira (Colin James), and the album was recorded at Tom Lavin's Blue Wave Studios. Isaak, Chip Hart and K.W. Spruell contribute co-writes, and a cover of soul classic "I'd Rather Be Blind, Crippled And Crazy" is a winner.
The CD is launched at The Fan Club in Vancouver on July 5.
