Unification: From Channel One To King Tubby's

Those of us long into classic roots reggae have lamented the creative decline of the genre. Rescue now comes in the form of a reissue of a lost gem of an album reggae great Willi Williams recorded at the legendary Kingston Jamaica studios Channel One and King Tubby's in 1979, with co-production by another giant of the genre Yabby You. Williams has long been based in Canada and in recent times has frequently collaborated with Big Sugar. Unification captures him at the heights of his power as a singer and songwriter. The disc includes "Armagideon Man", his signature tune and one later popularized by The Clash. Players/singers featured here include Sly & Robbie, Jackie Mittoo and The Gladiators. Sublime stuff.
