Back in 2013, Yes We Mystic impressed us with their debut EP Floods And Fires, a folk-rock offering that skilfully incorporated strings, horns and harmonies. They now return with the seven-track Vestige EP, one that actually features just two songs, "Wood Wheel" and The Contest of Strength". Both atmospheric cuts are given multiple (and interesting) remixes by the likes of Holy Hum and The Wilderness Of Manitoba. The tracks were recorded with John Paul Peters (Tanya Tagaq,  Imaginary Cities) and mixed by Jonathan Anderson (Aidan Knight, Andy Shauf), and the EP (also available on 7-inch vinyl) certainly makes us keen to hear what YWM create on upcoming sessions with Jace Lasek (Besnard Lakes) that will result in a new full-length.

The band began an 11-city Western tour earlier this week. For a full schedule, check their site.
