It's a more than promising situation to have two singles off your debut album go gold before that album is even released. That's the case with young (22 years-old) pop singer/songwriter Tyler Shaw's full-length debut, Yesterday, the two hits being "Kiss Goodnight" (over a million YouTube views for this one and closing in on platinum status) and "House Of Cards". Shaw co-wrote 12 of the 13 cuts, with high-profile collaborators including Stephen Kozmeniuk (Madonna, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj), Todd Clark (Phillip Phillips, Pilate), and Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen). Expect the hit parade to continue, as these are well-crafted tunes delivered with tuneful conviction by Shaw.
Shaw launched the album with a show at Toronto's Mod Club last week and in October he begins a major cross-Canada tour supporting Kelly Clarkson. Check the itinerary here.
