Video of the moment

Every week we select a music video by a Canadian group or artist who have recently been reviewed by our editorial team. If you'd like to suggest a video for consideration, you can send us a message using this form.

Three weeks ago, we reviewed "Miss My Friends", the new single from retro-inclined rockers Zeus. To further fuel interest in the track, the band's upcoming tour, and the keenly-awaited release of new album Classic Zeus on Sept. 2 (on Arts & Crafts), Zeus has just put out a charming video for "Miss My Friends". It neatly complements the fun and sunny vibe of the song, depicting the band constructing the Zeus zeppelin then launching it into the air, thankfully without any Hindenburg style mishap (despite one band member smoking next to it).

The song itself addresses one of the down sides of life as a popular touring combo, as Zeus guitarist  Mike O'Brien explains. "Being in a band often means a lot of traveling and time spent away from home....Meeting new people is great and it's one of the things about playing music that I love, but there are times when you just want to be surrounded by the people you know and love."

Zeus will miss their friends once they begin an extensive North American tour, starting in Portland on Sept. 10 and concluding in Philadelphia on Oct. 19. Twelve Canadian cities are included on the trek. Go to themusicofzeus.com for full tour details.
